Musica Music School was established in Leaside by Liselotte Jongedijk in 1990. Over the years many of our dedicated teachers and families have developed long term connections, creating a sense of belonging and camaraderie. This welcoming atmosphere begins when families join the dynamic Music for Young Children classes. Students of all ages continue into private lessons in the same convenient location. We proudly share student progress during the twice yearly Recitals which are warm, positive and family friendly. Every year a handful of senior students are celebrated with the Award of Honour for completing 10 years of musical study with Musica!
Nine dedicated teachers — and growing. Every member of our faculty shares a commitment to making lessons inspiring, effective, and personal.
Credentials matter — but so does warmth, patience, and a genuine love for teaching. Our faculty brings all of it.
All Musica teachers hold recognized conservatory or university music credentials, with many years of real teaching experience across all ages and levels.
No two students are the same. Our teachers adapt their approach to your goals, learning style, and pace — whether you're 4 years old or 64, beginner or advanced.
Many of our students stay for years. We take pride in building real, ongoing relationships with families in Leaside and across Toronto — music mentors, not just instructors.
